Timberlake Lighting

Dorm decorating has come along way since I was in college. I arrived with sheets, a comforter, my new corduroy husband pillow, a popcorn popper, a boom box and a teeny crappy black & white television. My roommate got there first and had already decorated the room in what would have been considered 80’s goth/skater girl chic. Needless to say, I never tried to top that look and just dealt with the bizarreness that ensued after move-in day.

Things are a bit different in college land these days – and it isn’t just the addition of computers and electronics. Younger people already have a sense of style and want to show that off in their rooms – no matter how small that space may be. This year, I have two other nieces headed off to college and I think a fabulous floor lamp is the perfect gift. It is something that is needed, adds style to the room, and will (hopefully) be a part of their life after college ends.
